I think if they can finalize Woods, these would both be good position hirings, and bring a lot of experience to the defensive staff. I'd be concerned if Allen was having to overpromote to fill those openings.

I believe the hiring of Todd Grantham was a smart hiring. He has 32 yrs. of experience in college and the NFL. I think he will be a good assistant Coach for our defense. Don't know what position group he will be coaching. I wish the Saints would have been more specific on that. Did anyone else see Where Mike Nolan is going to be a head coach in the USFL. He's one guy I wished the Saints would have brought back to work with the defense. He worked wonders with our LB's when he was here a few years ago.

Grantham runs a 3-4. Woods runs a 3-4. I don't think this is a coincidence. DA is planning to switch to a 3-4.

Agreed. I could see Cam and Davenport as legit 3-4 DEs if we choose to keep Davenport. I could also see Granderson transition to a 3/4 edge LB fairly smoothly.

But yeah, it’s hard to see a Nose on this current roster.
