Fox was never gonna a first timer as lead analyst.

Correct ...Fox is just a entertainment station from their world/political news broadcast to sports it's entertaining and that's what sells they don't have time to develop people that they would bring someone who in who is polarizing versus really good at sports casting.

They would bring Payton in first because of his coaching work but mostly on them banking his personality will bring ratings in. Fox is a ratings first (but I guess most all mainstream networks are) quality of actual sports casting those days are long gone that ended when Madden and Summerall stopped because inmo that was the perfection of entertainment and good sports casting combined.

With all the superstars getting into broadcasting after their playing days, it is gonna nudge out a lot of those old timers like Daryl Johnston that no body remembers having had played. I am fine with this. These old guys are from days passed when the game was completely different.

Im waiting for Bradshaw to get nudged out. He knows nothing about todays game. He is only good at being outlandish now.
