The only person whose absence was kinda felt tonight on offense was Jared Cook. I really expected him to be in more of the game plan. Especially in the red zone/ shorth half of the field.

Also props to Ted Ginn, saw some posts about him during the camp that he should be cut : 7/7 101 yards (65 in the last 2 drives), he was great
True dat! I think we fans get caught up in camp and fail to remember that some veterans just have “it” and know how to play the game when it counts.

Ginn is definitely one of those guys.

J. Cook had a small target share.. but they were a couple of very important plays.

Very happy to see TQS & Murray on the stat sheet!

The receivers by committee is going to work out great as usual. Ginn is the key that makes the group potent. His speed will always open things up for everyone. He makes just enough plays for defenses to always pay attention to him. The crazy part here is that Payton seems to be hiding Cook for whatever reason. He’s definitely going to unleash him at some point. Week 2 is my guess.

Also very veteran move to just fall on the ground immediately after the catch, and get the timeout called with :02 seconds to get the clock stopped.

A lot of receivers try to get that extra move in, or allow themselves to get held up and the clock expires in that situation even with coaches yelling the play before to just immediately fall down.
