Tracey Porter? (1 Viewer)

Isn't that our luck. We kick the tires on all these old vets and they just decide to hang it up...

Mis-read.. That's just the risk you take when you're dealing with quality starters from other teams that have aged

Because those old vets come cheap and are a low risk/high reward players that we love to have.

Probably Chris McAllister, Randall Gay or Leigh Torrance stopping by to pick up their backlog of fan mail!

I've been thinking that more and more too. From what i've seen/read about him, he has a lot of interests outside of NFL football.

Yeh that's my reasoning also. This long of a wait is not normal.

I just posted this in the "What's the holdup w/ Nmamdi" thread, but since his name seems to be a hot topic in the Porter thread, I figured I'd share it hear too.

From Ian Rapoport a few minutes ago.

Nnamdi Asomugha is still torn between #49ers and #Saints, I'm told. But New Orleans pushing really hard to get him. #Staytuned

I'm actually kind of over Nnamdi at this point. I realize that it's a big decision for him to make. But there are franchises that are trying to build their teams that are waiting on him. I actually find it kind of disrespectful how long he's taking.

How well is Porter suited to more of a man scheme that we'll prob be running? Thought he was more of a zone corner.

In other news ...

I wonder if the Saints brought Tracy in to give ASO a little nudge?

quite the opposite tbqh, as a general rule zone corners need to be better tacklers and need to be better in reading plays whilst man corners need to be more fluent and basically more talented physically, porter is the latter with good speed, tremendous hips and sufficient height
