Should the opportunity present itself on draft day, if Dorsey and Ellis are gone, and maybe even if not the Saints should trade out of the number 10 pick. Everyone seems to be agreed that we are gonna need more than one player to make our defense better and this could be a good place to pick up 2 guys instead of one. Ive suggested before we should trade back to a team like AZ that may want to move up to 10 to take a guy like jenkins or mckelvin for the 16th and a guy like dansby. Even trading back to Dallas for the 22 and 28 picks would leave us to take the remaining corner and the best linebacker, dt, tight end.
Really the back half of the first round seems to be pretty level. At ten we are too far back to get the top talent in the draft, short of someone dropping to us, and too high to take most of the guys that will fill a need. Trade back get an extra player or pick and still possibly get DRC or Rivers, maybe mckelvin or any number of other players we are considering at ten. If someone will be willing to move up I think we should pull the trigger.
Agree/ Disagree? why?
