I'm going to posit that traditionally the MNF participant has a better record based on prime-time scheduling. Any other theories?

I'm not clicking that link. Coming off a what?
Sean Payton shared some interesting research. He said there have been 17 instances where one team is coming off a bye (like the Saints) against an opponent coming off of a Monday night game (like the Panthers). And surprisingly the Monday night team has won 10 of 17.

I don't blame Triplett, but ESPN is just becoming unbearable with this. They appear to be trying to leverage their talent's Twitter accounts as a clickbait facilitator, like those "the world wasn't ready for the dress she wore" types you see everywhere.

Tease a bit of info, include the link, and instant page view for espn. It really sucks.

Yep, sorry about that. Wasn't paying enough attention.

I have another interesting stat: Teams going into their bye week are 7-1 this year. Carolina's bye is next week.

Oh no. Nothing against you or sharing the post. it is a pretty fascinating tidbit of information. I just wish ESPN would chill out a bit with the blatant web traffic tricks.

I actually tweeted to Triplette about the links in tweets just to read the rest of a sentence for the sake of clicks and how I'll just get the same info from his colleagues who only include links when there's an actual story to be read concerning the tweet.

I know it's not his fault since everyone at ESPN is (forced to) doing it, but it's super annoying.

not an important stat, after our win it will be almost 50/50 10/18 too small a data sample
