Tuesday is the next round of cuts. Here are possible candidates to pick up...

I think Dallas has the most depth, and will be one of the places where we do our Thrift Store shopping.

Lelito has to go... period! Peat needs to be behind a quality veteran on the depth chart.

I'm wondering where other options will come from. Seattle?

On a side note, anyone know how Jack Allen and Landon Turner did vs. the Steelers?

Got to be a couple guys that will be cut from that bunch that can help us, right?

Supposedly Minnesota Vikings have great depth on oline. All of their linemen have at least 16 games of experience. I'd be watching who they cut very closely.

I really like Beavers.

This is why I'm not going to freak out too much over the 3rd preseason game. If we can solidify the offensive line a little, it will improve the run game and our passing offense. There's absolutely no reason why we shouldn't be able to find a pair of guards that can step in and contribute right away.

I wouldn't mind Loomis tossing a cap friendly contract w/ a nice signing bonus to Louis Vasquez formerly of the Broncos...

With Jahri sitting as 3rd on the Seahawks' depth chart, if he's cut, I wonder if he'd swallow his pride and come back to the Saints? IIRC, we actually offered him MORE $$$ than Seattle paid to sign him.

I think the Saints will make a trade here to pick up a guard or two. The Vikes will probably want to trade rather than just release. They are stacked on the o line. Or the Cowboys could finally deal Leary to us. I think our starting guards might not even be on the team right now.

Heh. The Vikes can trade is Sean Hickey.

Oh wait. Hickey was on the Saints squad last year and we cut him.

Maybe he's sprouted since then. Ha, my point is there are way more talented guards out there that we could move on. I don't think the Saints will sit still and go with who we have. At least I hope not.

I'd be looking at teams that have had questionable talent evaluation / draft history ... Cleveland , Oakland , Detroit , Now maybe Frisco ...

I highly doubt Seattle is the place to look....they have one of the worst offensive lines in the league. If Jahri is 3rd team in Seattle, his tank really must be empty. Seattle, like New Orleans, is a team that can get better through picking up other team's cast offs. Therefore, Seattle should be an squad for Jahri to make.

I do expect the Saints to be active, either through trade or waivers, in finding OL depth.

I don't care....Just do something. Gosh looking at that game, I know Brees wanted to go down the field so bad but he couldn't because the line didn't allow plays to develop. We have two receiver ready to break out. We have a good tight end. Spiller is getting his form back again. And have to mention Michael Thomas with his big play potential. All this will be wasted if we can't fix this line up. It irks me that we improve on the defense but the problem with our oline is the only thing hindering us right now.
