New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton knew the negative turnover ratio would eventually come back to bite his team this season.
"When that's the case, I think you're on borrowed time," Payton said earlier this week. "When the season ends and you take a look at the playoff teams, while there might be one exception each year, they're all in the plus."
It bit the Saints badly on Sunday.
They turned the ball over three times to the Pittsburgh Steelers. That stat was the primary downfall as the Steelers knocked off the Saints 38-31.
