Two mock drafts (1 Viewer)

Werner is a big ask. I think Mingo will still be on the board. Not sure we need to spend a 1st at WR. Third round is all Brees needs in terms of quality.

Please not Jarvis Jones. Every time the Saints ignore 40 times for skill positions and draft based on college productivity they get burned. Troy Davis, first college running back to rush for 2,000 yards in back to back seasons, two time all- American. Ran a 4.7 forty at the combine. Draft stock plummeted. Saints took hum in the third round. He lasted 3 years in the NFL and never produced. Too slow to be a RB in the NFL.

Mark Ingram and Malcolm Jenkins. Both had phenomenally productive college careers. Ran slow forties at the combine and their stock slid. Saints took both in the first round. Neither was worth a first round pick.

I don't care how good Jones' college film looks. 4.92 forty is too slow to play WILL in a 3-4 defense. WILL is the key position after NT in a 3-4 and he has to be fast. You can't coach speed and you can't hide lack of speed once you get to the NFL.

Fabius, good to see you back!

His pass rush skills can't be disputed though, regardless of his forty time. He'll never have to run forty yards to reach the QB anyway. He plays fast on tape and shows explosion off the snap. That's what matters.

Did you just use RB and CB 40 times as a basis for your argument to not draft a very talented LB?

So, you don't care how good his film looks over his entire career, you only care about a 40 time on one day, who knows what the reason he ran slow that day, doesn't really mean anything, except to maybe push him down a couple picks to us, which i'd be very happy to draft him, he is very talented... What you're using as reasoning doesn't work together very well... Honestly you sound like Al Davis. Never draft or not draft someone on 40 times alone. Huge mistake.
