Who are your three choices (for each)?

Players eligible and declared for the 2017 draft:
2017 NFL draft rankings: Top college prospects by position | SI.com

My choices...
2017 Draft choices:
Billy Price, G, Ohio State
Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M
Jalen Reeves-Maybin, LB, Tennessee (may be Kuechly 2.0)

Unrestricted free agents (UFA's):

My choices...
UFA's:
Nick Fairley, NT, Saints (...resign him!)
Matt Kalil, LT, Vikings
<s>Fletcher Cox, DE, Eagles</s>
Edit: Calais Campbell, DE, Cardinals (...price tag may be too high, though)

:gosaints:

Fletcher Cox just signed a huge deal with the Eagles before the season started

No offense, but to sign those three FA's would be next to impossible. And wouldn't signing both Cox (didn't he just sign a deal? Or was that someone with the Jets?) and Fairley be a little redundant since they're both DT's in our 4-3? That would be a lot of money to tie up in the middle of the DL (we're paying Rankins a first round contract as well and have him locked up for another four years) when we need an edge rusher - and if we were to be able to land Garrett, we'd have to trade up in the draft and then pay that contract as well. We'd be broke - fast.

And why Kalil? We just re-signed Armstead, didn't we? Does he play on the right side too?

I know it's more than 3 but

Free Agency:

Melvin Ingram
Fairly
Best Right Guard that we can find at a value that works
Reggie Bush (vet min)

FAs
Nick Fairley
Andrew Whitworth
Trumaine Johnson

Draft:
Derek Barnett
Zach Cunningham
Jordan Leggett

I'd like to see us grab a RG and possibly a RT in free agnecy. Of course that's what we expected last offseason and we were panicked all the way up til the start of the season when we got Jahari back. I do wonder if we could squeeze one more year out of Streif and Evans. That's not unthinkable. Both are showing signs of aging, but are still playing better than most of the players that will be available.

Draft
Barnett, DE, Tenn
Williams, OLB/DE, Bama
Foster, ILB, Bama

and I also like
Jackson, CB/KR, USC
McCaffrey, RB/KR, Stanford
LF#7, RB, LSU
Legget, TE, Clemson

I do like drafting skill positions and fishing in FA for solid trench guys.

Top Free Agents for me....

1. Fairley
2. Aj Bouye CB
3. Kevin Zeitler G

I didn't realize Bouye was set to hit free agency. If he's on the table I hope NO throws the money at him. He's been fantastic with a really banged up pass rush and his name alone just tells me he belongs here.

Draft Jabrill Peppers @ Rueben Foster

UFA...Fairley, Best RG, CB-wanted Alford from Atl but they signed him bk to a nice contract.

FA's
JPP
Bouye
Zeitler

Draft
Adoree Jackson
Christian McCaffery
Davis Webb

If we're just talking about the dream scenario, where the salary cap and draft positions don't matter.

Draft:
Leonard Fournette
Reuben Foster
Myles Garrett

FA:
Trumaine
Zeitler
Collins

Now, if we're being more realistic, I'd like something like this.

Draft:
Reuben Foster
Adoree Jackson
Alvin Kamara

FA:
Zeitler
JPP
Fairley

If Reuben Foster is gone by our pick, I would want Barnett in the draft. Instead of targeting JPP in free agency, I would want to go after Jamie Collins. He could be our WILL, with Robertson staying at MLB. If Collins is out of our price range, I'd target Zach Brown to play MLB and move Robertson to the WILL LB spot.

We've got alot of interesting options this off-season. I haven't been this excited about an off-season in years.

FA:

1. Nick Fairley
2. Zach Brown
3. A Guard (I have no idea which ones are good besides Zeitler but his price will be nuts. Osemele got close to $12m/year which means Zeitler will go beyond 12m/year)

Draft:

1. Marlon Humphrey
2. Tim Williams
3. Jamal Adams (Not a need but the guy is an absolute stud.)

Since there doesnt seem to be a requirement of reasonableness...

Free Agent
Fairley
Andre Branch (likely not available)
Reggie Bush

Draft
Edge Myles Garrett
OG Dan Feeney
S Jabrill Peppers

Although I wouldnt be upset with:
OJ Howard
Leonard Fournette
DeShone Kizer
Quincy Wilson
or Sidney Jones

FA
RG - Zeitler (or Warford)
CB - AJ Bouye
LB - Zach Brown
#4 DE - Jabaal Sheard (or Devin Taylor)

Draft
1a. DE Derek Barnett
1b. TE OJ Howard (trade back into 1st) or CB Desmond King
2. RB Alvin Kamara
3. OG/OT - Forrest Lamp
4. DE/OLB - Ejuan Price

There's a lot of factors at play, particularly what we do with our own FA's in Fairley, Moore, BW Webb. I could also see us moving on from Cooks a year early in order to obtain a 2nd + 4/5th. We'd need to pick up a speed WR (Patterson, Stills, Woods, Goodwin). It really depends on which position group the team feels has the best depth (CB or TE). Both our CB's and TE's have experienced a lot of injuries this year, but we'll have to make a decision about Breaux and Fleener after next year who are arguably the top 2 at their position. Same for Byrd at the safety position, though I think we can bring back Rafael Bush for cheaper and let Byrd walk.
