if i may---

this thread has been my source for everything i need to know about this conflict. The posts have been informative--shocking--inspiring and beyond everything i can get get from other sources.

i love you all-- i love your contributions.

Can we please keep it on topic? 72 raccoon blurbs are unnecessary when this thread is dedicated to an historic struggle of nations.
Sorry Dan, It appears raccoons have become on topic and the war is stuck with them. I suppose it's something similar to the way they get in trash cans.

On edit, I suspected there was a pun intended with those names so I looked into it further. There was indeed a pun intended, as explained by Euro Maidan Press in their master article:

The drones will be named Peace-dets, Peace-da, and Peace-diuk, an play of words on the popular exclamation “Rusni pyzda,” meaning “Russia is screwed.”

“Pyzda” is translated as “c*nt” from Russian, and a rough translation of the drone names is “peace is coming,” “you are peaced,” and “peacemaker.” The naming of the drones both reflects the damage they will inflict on the Russian army and that peace in Europe can only be restored by Russia’s defeat.

Does being sent on leave mean they don't have bullets available to shoot them?

I think it means they sent them to live on a farm, so they could run around and dig holes, etc.
