I've watched a fair number of Belarus' film industry productions over the years. I haven't watched the one discussed above, but it only took me a few seconds to find episode one from season one.

All of them are from time past insofar as we've progressed. They're stuck in our Hee Haw era.

Here's a more modern Belarusian version of the same story with subtitles. The version with subtitles is better, the people in the movie like each other. The old version is crusty insofar as attitudes which are portrayed.
