There’s no way Ukraine is going to just let Russia walk in to Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhia, etc. Those are some of their largest cities, and I have serious doubts Russia could take them even if the US cut all support

Sadly, I think the more accurate reference is Germany and Russia splitting up Poland in 1939.
