Underhill article on why the Saints O is so bleh (4 Viewers)

Can you clip small interesting parts?
It’s really just putting into perspective how little we do stuff like that.

Not sure what we’re allowed to take from pay sites. But for example, we are dead last in the NFL at using motion on dropbacks. Four of the most dynamic “modern” offenses (Chiefs, Rams, Dolphins and 49ers) are in the top 5.

There really should only be general discussions of Nick’s pay articles

No disrespect to @Saint Spud, but am I the only one slightly bothered by posts with "subscriber only" links to Nick's site? Saints Report is a free discussion board. How can content be discussed if it's behind a pay wall? Obviously, a subscriber can copy and paste the content here, but I doubt Nick would want that. At the same time, I'm left to feel like a douche bag for freely reading/discussing content that Nick is charging people for on a free discussion board. Anyways, I'm done with my rant.

No disrespect taken.

There are tons of theories as to why our offense is broken. It’s easily the most discussed topic on this board.

The article gives a ton of evidence that the system itself (or at least, how we’re currently running it) is the biggest problem. Not absolving Carr or the OLine. But it gives a lot of raw data that add context and, perhaps, a solid answer to the biggest question facing the franchise.

I could have told you that. Thanks for spoiling the story. I'm a paying subscriber.

How do you have a general discussion of something that people refuse to discuss? Or, better yet, how does Nick Underhill expect to garner interest in his pay site if people refuse to share anything interesting from it to discuss? At that point it just comes across as click bait (that you have to pay for) and reads like any other headline you see on, say, MSN.

Damn. Not just bottom 5 but DEAD LAST.

What the fork are we even doing? Handicapping ourselves it's just pathetic. Ol' Petey must be using the madden playbook from 1995.

Unbelievable.

The board’s guidelines for cutting/pasting articles predates Nick’s site

I don't think Nick knows what he's talking about. He's making it sound like Motion is the savior but it's simply not true. there are great offenses that don't use motion all the time. telling people not using motion enough is the problem is a phony distraction from the real problem.

Motion was just one of the many factors he looked at. He also noted the Saints are dead last in using play action despite Carr’s historical 93 passer rating when throwing the ball on play action passes. He also noted the Saints have a pitiful yards after the catch stat this year, which is indicating the scheme isn’t getting players the ball in space.
