Uniforms for this weekend? (1 Viewer)

Don’t believe it’s been covered and I’d assume it could range from anywhere from fines, to draft picks being taken away, and possibly even the game being forfeited to the opponent.

However one problem with “just wearing the Color Rush” uniforms without approval creates one interesting aspect: we’re the home team so the Buccaneers equipment trucks will more than likely be loaded and sent to New Orleans with their away uniforms (white tops and pewter or white pants). Simultaneously, our Color Rush uniforms are white. So if the game would still end up being played (which I doubt) you’d have both teams wearing white jerseys which would result in a massive cluster**** of confusion and sloppy football.

Only way would be to state we’re wearing white so Tampa Bay brings their red jerseys and then pull out the Color Rush uniforms. At that point then the fines and possible forfeiture of draft picks come into play on top of even worse officiating in future years.

Just not worth it.
We had a flag football tournament at work. 4 teams. Everyone was in charge of thier own uniforms. All 4 teams showed up with all black on. It was a mess, lol

We shouldn't give the more visible color advantage to the visitors.

Then again when we're on defense, their Qb cant see our DB's? Hmmm?

I've heard this as well, which raises the question, why don't we wear white for every home game?

I remember we wore them quite a bit at home for a while.

Played a national final game one time where both teams usually wore black. This was in the days when teams rarely had a second strip.

We were the home team and had first choice, so obviously chose our main black strip. The league organiser things and told the other team to wear an alternate set of jerseys. Apparently they weren't too happy and brought their black jerseys, which the players dressed in and tried to make a power play to be allowed to wear them.

Meanwhile we just waited patiently until they obviously lost the argument and eventually trotted out in the alternate red strip. I don't think it helped them mentally and the game was over by half time, 35-14 final score IIRC.
