United airlines and overhead bins... (1 Viewer)

And the constant nickel-and-diming has led passengers to ask: What will airlines begin to charge for next? Cushions? Oxygen masks?

“Maybe it will be extra for sitting soon,” tweeted one disgruntled flyer.

Nah. Personal Seat Licenses are next. Where they charge you for the right to purchase a ticket for a seat on a plane. :covri:

I wish at least one company would buck the trend and offer good customer service without all of these fees at a fair price. I'd think they would be very popular and successful. Nobody likes being nickle and dimed to death.

Makes me want to have an airline called "Old-Timey Airlines":

-- Only good-looking young stewardesses.
-- You get free booze and full GOOD meals on plane.
-- No baggage fees, carry-on bag fees, bin storage fee, seat reserve fees, etc.
-- You can smoke on the plane, "Mad Men" style
-- No TSA lines
-- You have to dress nice to fly. No shorts, flip-flops, or t-shirts allowed; men need either a jacket OR tie; women need a dress or pantsuit.
-- Transferable tickets.

"Hey, we know it's expensive to fly and there aren't many, if any, options for long travel distances, but **** you anyway."
