How is the Atlanta game bigger than the Kansas City game in 3 weeks? Kansas City’s offense is the biggest test for our defense all season.

Just like Atlanta did yesterday, Tampa also blew out the Raiders two weeks before we blew out Tampa again 38-3. Atlanta still has the same horrible defense and horrible offensive line that we played 2 weeks ago.

The Saints can eliminate any prospective issues simply by refusing to lose!

If the premise is that the Falcons game is the "biggest game since Saint's SB win" because the Saints "must" keep the #1 seed, then every next game for the rest of the schedule will be the "biggest game since Saint's SB win". So if the Saints lose, will you say they lost the next biggest game in Saints history? That doesn't make sense to me.

Why, because if the Saints were to lose to Atlanta, and end up tied with Green Bay, then Green Bay would win the playoff tiebreaker since the Saints already lost to the Packers and the Saints would have to win the NFC Championship by beating Green Bay at Lambeau Field, a notorious poor footing outdoor stadium during the wintertime, something the Saint's have never thrived at doing. The Saints can solve this potential issue by simply by winning out. The added benefit of that outcome is that the Packers would still need to beat the Titans although they get to play the Titans at home to even have a chance for a tiebreaker. Now the Saints would still need to defeat the Chiefs should the Packers win out to avoid the tiebreaker scenario mentioned previously, but hopefully by God's grace and healing power the Saints will have Drew Brees back in the saddle. Regardless, the Saints need to beat the Falcons. I hope I got all these scenarios right. Either way, the Falcon game shapes up as being a huge game. Have a blessed day!

i would say that's not true. there have been plenty of bigger games. Every playoff game since then, the 49ers game last year, etc.

Should the Saints lose to Atlanta, the odds are they have to go through Lambeau Field to get to the SuperBowl, Winning the Atlanta game is critical to avoiding that.

Having the “1 seed” in the playoffs doesn’t guarantee any team anything. In fact, I would suggest going back to see how often the 1 seed even makes the Super Bowl. Of course it happens but probably a lot less than you think.

I only see 1 possible loss on Green Bay's remaining schedule... Tennessee Titans. I do see at least 2 possibilities that could give Seattle another L.

As long as the Saints can win at Atlanta and against Minnesota... they will be fine. Lets just hope COVID doesn't add another team to the playoffs in each conference. If it does, the 1-seed bye week will vanish into thin air.

The last wildcard to make the Superbowl was the Ravens in 2012. Each and every SB participant since then has been a #1 or #2 seed with a bye.

An extra week off and at least one guaranteed home game at the divisional level is a huge boost in the playoffs.

A conference game is always more important than an interconference game.

The Chiefs game is obviously the most interesting but in terms of importance, it is the least of all remaining games.
