I have been dying to point out how well Kawika Mitchell played this season. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=4505

Check out tackles against Green Bay and the Super Bowl. He might very well be the best player under the radar. The Giants will have a hard enough time keeping their offense intact after the super bowl, so we should be able to get him with no problem. I am crossing my fingers on this signing.

Most of the guys you have highlighted are either going to resign with their current team, Suck or they are old as dirt. That is why they are not being talked about.
On a lighter note.... How good would Ben Troupe fit in here as a TE. He can block and All LSU fans know how well he catches the ball. He has played well in the pros, but Scaife is Youngs primary TE target in Tennessee cause of his comfort level in him having played together at Texas.
Ernest Wilford is another guy who I think deserves a good look. This kid is TALLLLL and was Leftwich's go to guy in the Red Zone, even when Jimmy Smith was there. I blame their coaching staff for not getting more out of him lately. He is a good kid too. I believe he is a military brat and spent much of his childhood in Germany. Speaks some foreign languages. Very diverse and a well rounded individual.

Kawika Mitchell would be a great fit. He has perfect size and experience. I suggest that we do not reach for a linebacker early in the draft.

X3 on Kawika Mitchell. Everytime I saw the guy play last season I was impressed. He's 28 so he isn't ancient. Unlike Zach Thomas he has several good years left and isn't coming off injury. I'd take him in a heartbeat......

Hmmm.....Payton tried to sign Cowboys Safety Keith Davis before '06. I believe he was a RFA and Cowboys matched. He was a STer. Strange thing was the 'Boys matched then upgraded S with Hamlin and now they've dumped Davis (sounds like a warning sign to me).......
