[updated]Ohio State Knife Attack - Suspect already killed (1 Viewer)

I read that it was a car and knife attack.

I think the only shooting was the one that killed the murderer.

The important question is, how long til we can politicize it?

Looks like it was updated to a knife attack. Not sure the attack was in a car, I think it's a likely injury while people were running away.

"A suspect has been shot and reported deceased," the university said. "Victim injuries include stab wounds, injury by motor vehicle and other injuries that are being evaluated."

A knife-wielding man attacked several people at Ohio State University on Monday, sending eight people to hospitals and prompting a campus-wide lockdown, authorities said.

The suspect is dead, and authorities on the ground believe the threat is contained, said a law enforcement official briefed on the latest information.

The eight people hospitalized have non-life-threatening injuries, according to officials at three local hospitals.

Also reported he didn't yell anything. Was very quiet.

Nope, sounds like he did ram people with his car, then went into a knife attack.

looking at the news now , cnn and fox along with msnbc are now reporting that the attacker left some type of message . also the attacker is a somali refugee and this may have been a planned attack.

He was a Somali refugee who left his homeland with his family in 2007, lived in Pakistan and then came to the United States in 2014 as a legal permanent resident of the United States, officials said. He attended Columbus State Community College for two years, graduating *** laude with an associates degree before moving onto Ohio State to continue his studies.

Cute, but the real answer is that the police officer was there so fast and was able to shoot him before most of the people on the street realized what was happening. Their first knowledge of the situation was when they heard the police officer fire his weapon. So they heard gunshots. Not surprising, nor an attempt by the media to "grab headlines".

It was a semi tongue in cheek comment.
