N/S Urban Meyer: DJ Chark’s a big guy that played little in 2020, that can’t happen (1 Viewer)

Who was the last successful coach that made the jump from college? Jimmy Johnson and then who?

Technically, Carroll from USC to Seattle but that's it. Saban, Spurrier, Kelly, and others have failed.

Sounds like quite a few on here are "hatin". You know, kinda like that Winston "hate".
Meyer is a scumbag and a weasel. He may be a “smart guy” but that doesn’t make him a good guy. Petrino was a “smart guy” 🤔

Meyer has already hired a strength coach who was labeled a “bully and a racist” and forced out at Iowa, and Meyer’s past has more than a couple “situations” that indicate he’s at the very least a man of highly questionable character.

“In 2018, Meyer was suspended for the first three games of the Ohio State season. The university staged an investigation and found he failed to uphold the university’s standards when he chose not to report Courtney Smith’s allegations of abuse against Buckeyes assistant Zach Smith. Meyer also lied about the situation at Big Ten Media Day.

He has retired twice due to health concerns, and while there is plenty of testimony that those health issues are legitimate, he left behind nothing but turmoil upon departing from two universities. The Florida football program was falling apart under Meyer, per a report. And, of course, he retired from the Buckeyes job in the wake of the coverup of the Smith allegations.”

So yeah... I’m not a fan of “bad guys” getting multiple chances to make millions of dollars, when the rest of us can lose everything at strike 1. That goes for both Meyer and Winston.
