The New Orleans Saints took USC linebacker Keith Rivers and defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis to dinner Tuesday night and asked Rivers what time he would run in the 40-yard dash the next day.

After a moment, Rivers responded, "4.5 seconds." The Saints thanked him for being honest and not saying 4.4 or 4.3.

Rivers kept his word Wednesday at USC's Pro Day, running a pair of 4.5 40s, and he also had a 42-inch vertical as he solidified his status as a top-15 pick in the NFL draft.
