When Kenny Vaccaro came to Texas as part of the 2009 recruiting class from Brownwood Early, he was ranked as a low four-star prospect and the no. 18 player at his position nationally, while failing to crack the Rivals national list. The service had 37 players ranked ahead of him in state of Texas.
Texas S Kenny Vaccaro: 2013 NFL Draft Profile - Burnt Orange Nation

This in depth piece about Vaccaro gives you a good idea of his pros and cons.

Great article and spot on, it basically says:

PRO's
-ignore the 40yd dash time, vaccaro's athleticism is 2nd to none
-he can absolutely lay the wood
-he is a shutdown man coverage guy, they use him shutting down tevon austin and ryan swope as examples

CON's
-zone coverage, saying they didnt play a lot of it in Texas but has the intelligence to be good at it
-maturity, saying he had some maturity issues in the past but hasnt anymore
-deep angles in run support, said he isnt good at taking deep angles when playing far back at FS and they say its mainly because he played SS at texas and was rarely playing far back, his strength was to play at the LOS and make plays in the run game or shut down WRs and TE's
