Coach Glenn believes Chauncey Gardner-Johnson has all the attributes you look for in a Safety:

<> speed
<> size
<> smarts, and
<> attitude!

He likes CGJ's instincts, and says he has the body type that is strong enough to be put in the box to take on linemen and big NFL RB's.

Said that he knew of CGJ, and has kept in touch with him off-and-on.

Not a long video, but it gives the impression that we should expect this young man making a SERIOUS run for one of our starting Safety positions.

Time will tell.

I hope that he's right.
Gotta say I like Aaron Glenn the more I hear him talk and see the results. Seems like a good blend of good coach/bad coach.

On a team with the level of talent that the Saints have to get two players that will contribute significantly and possibly start is impressive. Hope Jeff Ireland and his staff want to hang around, maybe move Micky to a higher position.

Big safety in the Derwin James mold. Saints will still need to get more production from the single high position though.

I actually think the more versatility we have in the safety position will allow us to rely less on single high and free Marcus up to do some different things.

Well, he said something similar about Nelson Jammer a year ago and he ended up getting cut. I'm holding out until I see him in preseason. It's common to get caught up in hype around this time of year.
