Dat Dave takes Manhattan and teaches a New York City taxi driver how to do the Who Dat chant!

Ignore the dark video quality and enjoy the audio!

Despite English being this cabbie's second language, the poor cabbie tries SO HARD to get the chant right. Who Dat say New York City taxi drivers are poor sports??? Give the cabbie credit considering the Saints performed the New York trifecta this season (beating all 3 New York teams: Jets, Bills, and Giants). And we won the Super Bowl to boot!

This is the one-and-the-same DAT DAVE from this CNN footage (as seen below) who exclaims, "IT'S DAT TUESDAY! IT'S LOMBARDI GRAS! IT'S THE CELEBRATION WE'VE BEEN DREAMING OF FOR 43 YEARS!"

Dat Dave sounds dee are you en kay

(drunk)
:hihi:
Actually, thanks for asking, but no, Dat Dave was not drunk, but merely HIGH ON LIFE AS WE SAINTS FANS KNOW IT.

:hihi:
Picture it: Dat Dave in New York for the first time in his life following the Saints first Super Bowl victory EVER. On this trip to NY, Dat Dave donned a Deuce jersey while riding the Staten Island Ferry past the Statue of Liberty, while walking through Chinatown purchasing a battery-operated, flying pig to commemorate the moment "pigs have flown," while struttin' through Little Italy sayin' "How You Doin'?", and while riding the subways of New York boasting about our Super Bowl victory as well as our defeat of all three New York teams this season.

Heck, Dat Dave even trekked atop the Brooklyn Bridge proudly showing off his black and gold.

And, you know, what? There was a surprising amount of goodwill for us Louisianians in the Big Apple.

Everywhere Dat Dave went, New Yorkers offered directions on where to go--and not "straight to hell!". No, they actually gave GOOD directions where Dat Dave actually wound up at his correct destination. Imagine that!

New Yorkers were friendly, considerate people who hollered nice things like, "Hey! We were rooting for you guys in the Super Bowl!" and "How you doin' down there in Louisiana? You guys recoverin' all right?"

Dat Dave rode the train to the old and new homes of the Bronx Bombers. Dat Dave saw the demolition of old Yankee Stadium side-by-side with the beauty of the new Yankee Stadium.

Dat Dave hailed a New York taxi to Caroline's Comedy Club while sporting a Saints jacket--and he didn't get run over! The taxi driver was such a good sport."

DAT DAVE BROUGHT THE BIG EASY TO THE BIG APPLE!

Dat Dave was not drunk, but was soaking in all that New York had to offer. The WORLD was Dat Dave's oyster because the Saints are WORLD champions!

Dat Dave was FEELIN' IT!

Dat Dave, a Louisiana boy from the CITY THAT CARE FORGOT climbed to the top of Rockefeller Center to gaze across at the Empire State Building and all of the lights in the CITY THAT DOESN'T SLEEP!

The electricity in the air was palpable as Dat Dave took in Times Square and all of its grandiosity. Dat Dave, in his Saints dregs, hailed another cab down down Broadway to "Monk's Cafe" (actually Tom's Cafe) of Seinfeld fame. The older New Yorker who waited on Dat Dave actually seated Dat Dave in one of the booths formerly sat in by "George" and "Jerry." Dat Dave told him he wanted to order what George and Jerry would've ordered.

He brought Dat Dave a "club sandwich and milkshake" and there, in the booth of Seinfeld's restaurant, Dat Dave, wearing black and gold, did his best George Castanza impression.

Not only did Dat Dave feel the breeze at the "Top of the Rock," as the natives call Rockefeller Center, but Dat Dave also hit the "Bottom of the Rock" in Rockefeller Plaza where Dat Dave ice skated for the first time in his life--or at least it resembled ice skating, I think!

Not only did Dat Dave hit "ROCK BOTTOM" on the ice, but Dat Dave rocked his BOTTOM on the ice--and it ways never imagined possible. Who would conceive that someone who used to play basketball could fall completely horizontal while grasping the rail?!!

Dat Dave reinvented new ways to fall on the ice, but no one laughed harder at Dat Dave than Dat Dave himself as Dat Dave absolutely punished his body! And why, might you ask? Because Dat Dave was in the NYC for the first time ever, the Saints were Super Bowl Champions, and nothing--NOTHING--could hurt Dat Dave.

Dat Dave felt invincible!

When I say no one laughed harder than Dat Dave, perhaps that was a stretch because Dat Dave was a walking cartoon on the ice as people gave Dat Dave ovations for skating more than ten feet at any one time. Dat Dave was getting schooled by a precocious little eight-year-old "Scott Hamilton" who told Dat Dave, as he lay prostrate on the ice, to crawl on his knees back to the rail.

"You're never going to get up that way unless you can levitate!" the sarcastic little boy chided Dat Dave as his eight-year-old body whimsically encircled the rink countless times as he whizzed past Dat Dave.

But, this was okay! Dat Dave was okay! Dat Dave skated on...
and fell again and again...

AND AGAIN! Perhaps the onlookers in Rockefeller Plaza laughed no harder than the moment when a young man and a young lady--lovers perhaps--began "making out" in what seemed to Dat Dave was the longest embrace ever. There they were--two young lovers lip-locked and oblivious to the world--and STANDING AGAINST THE RAIL upon which Dat Dave so desperately dependent.

Dat Dave--WHO DAT EXTRAORDINAIRE and getting his momentum for perhaps the first time on the ice--and he's MAKING AN UNINTENTIONAL BEE-LINE STRAIGHT FOR THEM!

OH NO! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!--WHAM! Splat!

The lovers, surprised and stunned, brushed themselves off--as did Dat Dave-- and proceeded to stop their previous form of entertainment and began filming Dat Dave.

Yes, Dat Dave was more exciting than YOUNG LOVERS MAKING OUT IN ROCKEFELLER PLAZA!

Dat Dave was INDEED feelin' it!

And boy, did Dat Dave feel it--the punishment taken by his body--in the subsequent days to come! Oh, the beating it took!

But not that night! Dat Dave could feel no pain. Dat Dave of the Who Dat Nation was ALIVE, was well, was in the center of the universe, and well, you know,...

THE SAINTS WERE SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS!
