Is anyone else tired of these links on CNN and yahoo and other places that are news stories, but link you to a video? Sometimes I just want to be able to READ the story, not have some video load up. Does this trend bother anyone else? Sorry, rant over.

Don't they have a symbol indicating that it's a video and not a typed article?

Yeah, you really hit on one there. I usually back out of the video when that happens. I have ADSL, but not real fast ADSL, and I would usually rather read it too. You usually have to sit through an ad first too. You should add it to the "annoys the crap out of me" thread.

not always on yahoo. And even on CNN, often it will be a headline I'm interested in, but I just want to read the info, or don't feel like exposing to the rest of the office that I'm watching movies.

I know exactly what you are talking about - I can't play video at work (sluggish and no sound) - so I want to read the story but can't. Also CNN has this new thing where the link to another stations' website and send you there for the story - that bugs me too

Agreed, sometimes I just want to read about what ever the story is.. and all they have is a video.

Yes! That bothers me.
