Vinovich Refereeing the Super Bowl (1 Viewer)

Disgusting. Is he going to get the same idiots who actually ******* up the call as well? We should not be surprised in a league where Mike Cerullo gets a job in the league office.
to answer the question you asked... NO the officials who actually failed to make the call last January will NOT officiate this year's Super Bowl (Patrick Turner & Gary Cavaletto)

in fact... congrats to Nicholls St. alum Carl Johnson, who will be working his 2nd career Super Bowl, serving as a line judge in 3 weeks

His reward for doing his job as instructed by the league last season during our NFC title game. And people want to believe NFL games are not fixed to some extent. By the way did anyone else notice he did not officiate one of our games this season.

I was about to ask that too? Well if he did he probably would of been crucified literally and on display outside the Super Dome.

It's like giving Dan Queen (pun intended) a 25 year contract extension after the 28-3 magic trick.

Seriously though, when you fail this bad in your job/duty, you should be fired the next day...

Vinovich is a LIAR. When asked about the call he said he hadn't seen the play. Yet the low camera angle shows him looking directly at the non call. HE IS A LIAR.

I understand the anger directed towards Vinovich... he's the white hat... he's the 1 who actually verbalizes & signals the infraction... and ultimately the buck does stop with him

but let's be real here... that's not his area of the field to patrol... officiating procedure says the referee is responsible for the offensive backfield, including any infractions against the QB (and yes the pic caught him looking in that general direction... it could've been the 1st tenth of a second of the play Vinovich had seen after turning his head from his assigned duty)

if we're still mad at anyone about that day... let's get the 2 officials who's area of the field the play happened in... and the 2 officials who failed to get it right... and those 2 officials were Patrick Turner & Gary Cavaletto

Turner & Cavaletto should be the 2 names that go down in infamy
