Surprising 10 career INTs so far.
I hate losing Bell. ALWAYS around the ball, seemly was picking up every fumble and returning it.
8M? 1st I've heard of this.
My thoughts too. With the way many here seem to not see it that way, and value Marcus way more than I do, perhaps I am imagining it all. Lol
I think Underhill summed it up pretty well. He has fantastic range and he makes a lot of plays other safeties can’t.
But he also makes some bad mistakes. And unfortunately, they seem to come at the worst times. So people remember them more than the good things.
Overall, he’s a good safety. And I think having someone back there like Jenkins who is a vet and a little better in coverage may help.
This is one of the most confusing posts I have read on here. Read it 3X. Still have no idea if this is sarcasm.Jenkins wasnt the player he is today when the saints let him go in FA.
He did an interview where he spoke and re dedicating himself to the game and learning a lot more under the coaches with Philly.
The same may happen for bell. He is a good player, Jenkins was considered good. But a change of scenery and different personal might elevate his game.
Plus, he should be excited, he might be playing with Burrow. Thats a upgrade over Brees. Flame away.
The problem if hes doing his job you not going here much about him. Games the D played great he prolly had a good game. His does 2 negatives thinga to me that stand out to me. He seems to get either caught day dreaming or tries to make a big play and follows the welng receiver leaving his zone. Hes really young i would stick with him. I think jenkins going help his progress. Lattimore also.I think Jenk will help too.
Just don’t recall seeing too many positive game changing plays form Marcus. But it matters not what I or anyone else feels about him as a safety. We will all root for him as he’s a Saint.
I hated losing Ingram last year and Bell this year, but the Saints could not have handled the situations any better. Made them fair offers and moved on to plan B when the player decided to test his value in the open market. Only thing worse than losing both players would have been not signing competent replacements. It's because these guys think they can get more and have to settle for less cause the Saints don't wait.
I like our approach. We can't sit here and wait and miss out while waiting.
Plus, Williams had at like 2 or 3 more this year that was nullified by a defensive penalties. Not the best argument to try and make. Williams has 10 in 3 years. Most of any Saint in that span.

10 with 2 forced fumbles. Marcus Williams is a good player that just has had a few mistakes at crucial times. There's not 5 free safeties better than him in the league.
Would love it to be a big deal for another comp pick
One wanted to sign with us and the other didn’t take our offer. It’s as simple as that.Jenkins over Bell... smh..
.. someone advise me of how this makes sense..
