The New Orleans VooDoo announced a broadcasting agreement with Entercom New Orleans to broadcast all games both home and away Bayou 95.7 FM, and to broadcast a weekly coach's show on WWL-AM 870. This continues a partnership with Entercom that has continued through the club's three-season history.
As part of this new, multi-faceted agreement, Bayou 95.7 FM will become the "flagship station" for VooDoo games. Included in the game broadcasts will be a 30-minute pre-game show, as well as a 30-minute post-game show. Kenny Wilkerson will handle play-by-play duties, while various New Orleans Saints players will serve as guest color analysts. Wilkerson, who hosts a weekly radio show on 870 AM and handles sideline duties for all Saints games, will also host the weekly coach's show with VooDoo Head Coach Mike Neu.
"Entercom has been a tremendous leader in our community and the VooDoo are proud to have our games broadcast on the premier radio platform in our region," said VooDoo Owner/Executive Vice President Rita Benson LeBlanc. "We feel this partnership will provide the best possible coverage of VooDoo football for our fans before, during and after the game and continuing throughout the week."
"Im excited about becoming the Voice of the Voodoo, and having the games on Bayou 95.7," said Wilkerson. "This amps up the whole season. Its a big FM signal that reaches all over the region, and classic rockers are football fans. Its a perfect marriage rock & roll and football.
In addition to serving as broadcast partner of the New Orleans VooDoo, Entercom currently broadcasts all Saints games on WWL-AM, as well as a weekly coach's show and front office show.
Roster Moves: The club made one roster move today to finalize their 2007 regular season roster. The team signed free agent DL Wilky Bazile. Bazile is a 12-year AFL veteran, who most recently went to training camp with the Kansas City Brigade. He has spent the last two years of his career with the Las Vegas Gladiators and will add solid depth, veteran leadership and pass rush ability to the VooDoo defense.
AFL on Television: The Russell Athletic ESPN Arena Football Preview Show will feature ESPN's AFL commentators Mike Greenberg, Mike Golic and Merril Hoge with guest appearances by Philadelphia Soul President Ron Jaworski and team owners Jon Bon Jovi (Philadelphia) and John Elway (Colorado). The show airs tonight at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN2 and re-airs at 10 p.m. CT. The program will take a look back at ArenaBowl XX, top plays in league history and breakdown the upcoming season. Former AFL player and current Chicago Bears WR Rashied Davis will speak on the lessons he learned in the AFL and members of the New York Dragons will explain the differences between the AFL game and NFL game.
The first episode of Inside VooDoo, a weekly VooDoo program will air on Thursday night on CST at 7 p.m. The show is co-hosted by Victor Howell and VooDoo Coach Mike Neu. It also features a review of the upcoming game and players features. Thursday's episode will feature a preview of the 2007 season and the club's 2007 opener at Utah, as well as a feature on WR Darnell McDonald.

Kenny as play by play? He will be 6 or 7 plays behind while he tries to crack a bad joke and pat himself on the back for it.
