So on my walk back to the hotel from the Dome last night, I didn't say anything to any Eagles fans the entire 20-minute walk back. In general, Saints fans seemed to be pretty gracious. I saw more Saints fans shaking hands and talking with Eagles fans about the game than messing with them.
Anyhow, towards the end of the walk I came across a situation where I couldn't resist saying something. A father was walking his 3 or 4 young boys into their hotel lobby, all in matching Westbrook jerseys. They were probably around 10, 12, 13 years old each.
They looked like a nice family, but they looked so darned sad. Even so, I couldn't resist saying "bedtime, little guys.... bedtime". My girlfriend got kind of mad at me and told me that was a horrible thing to do, but I honestly thought (and still think) it was pretty funny. If the kids are going to be brought to an NFL playoff game in an away city I'm sure they heard worse than that.
What's the verdict : funny, or harsh on my part?
