We suspend Mike and still win the game.
We get the most important thing, the W, and make a definitive statement no one is bigger than the team.
This is the kind of stuff Parcells would do.
Without a doubt the other 53 took notice....Sean’s the boss and no one is bigger than the team. And when you know your coach doesn’t cow tail to superstars, that’s when everyone buys in.
Chances are Mike heard it loud and clear, as he’s ultra competitive. I’m betting he will listen, learn and come out far better because of it. Obviously Payton loves MT or that contract would have never been offered.
So tough love was needed, lesson learned by Mike, message heard by all, AND a W...now’s the perfect time to head to a break.
I can’t wait to watch how we come out in 2 weeks.
