We are who our record says we are. (1 Viewer)

That really doesn’t matter.
It’s how you perform when it really matters. They needed a quick stop to give the team any chance to win but instead they had a break down and gave up a back breaking score.
It’s how you perform in critical situations that makes you great if you step up to the moment.
I could of swore football was a team game. Kamara doesn’t fumble, different game. Both field goals made, different game.

I do agree with this to a point. But we were destined to lose. Not one break in this game AND the defense can’t get a turnover at any point. It’s a bad dry spell.

They may be playing well and stopping drives but the lack of turnovers has been a problem especially with an offense that can’t sustain drives and plays against the refs.

Saints used to fumble all the time and still manage to win because offense always came back. This team cant win unless they have a basically flawless quarter

Cook fumbled and we didn’t come back. NOLA no call happened and we didn’t come back. Former coach Payton used to stress the importance of not fumbling (which is a turnover) because the more you turn it over, the less the chance of winning.

I'm not upset at the D but all three aspects failed or underperformed when it matters most. A close game on the road against a divisional opponent and we miss two FGs, Our best offensive player fumbling the ball for a return.
I get that, but the defense played admirably. In years past there would be a huge defensive collapse in the 4th, which we would blame on the defense being gassed. Not so, they got stops when they needed them, minus one missed tackle (PJ I think missed the tackle on Shenault or whatever his name was. He makes that it's a tackle for loss and a punt)

Agreed.
Badger also missed on that big play.

Actually DA's defense does this a lot.

These were our offensive drives today. Are you really going to blame the defense for giving up one play?

I'm not blaming the defense overall but I remember us playing Minnesota and the Giants and we give up big plays at the wrong time. Yes, the offense and special teams did not help but the D let us down at the worst time.
