This one happened to come at the worst possible time......i.e. the playoff chase.

Some seasons we have MULTIPLE games like this. But anybody who has closely followed the Saints knows that every year there is a game like this one that pops up. Games where the O-line gets whipped.........Brees makes stupid decisions with the ball.........and the defense does very little to create positive momentum.

Even in 2 of our favorite seasons..........2009 and 2011, we had this. In 2009 it was against the Cowboys.....in 2011 it was against the Rams. Heck, even in 2013, it happened against the Rams again. Not to mention that debacle on MNF against the Seahawks in that same season.

Point being: this is nothing new. And really, outside of this game, the only other game that the Saints didn't have a reasonable chance at pulling off a win was vs. ATL on MNF. So you might say we were due?

A lesser team, the 2004 Saints, was able to close their season with a 4 game win streak to at least put themselves in position for a playoff possibility. Can this team?

Sorry but we've had 7 like this so far this season, as in 7 losses. That is the BOTTOM line folks. All losses are ugly. No sugar coating it.
Oh and no we won't end the season on a 4 game winning streak. We just don't have the horses or coaching to do it.

Nope we lose the next two. Our best chance to win is the Bucs at home. The season finale, I'm not sure what happens.
This coming Sunday: Bucs 35, Saints 14
