there is not a single positive thread on here , this is the best team we have had since… heck I’d even say better than Brees last three years when he couldn’t throw the ball >20 yards, things will come together. Yes Carmichael is not great but he is average and will improve. We have a legit shot at playoffs in our division and if we get hot at right time anything could happen with depth on our team. We are DEEP except LB and maybe Oline. Sit back and enjoy the next two games which will boost team confidence and get us back on track

Thanks for the optimism, but I think the fact that we have the most talented team since late Brees is the hardest part of this year so far. We absolutely have the talent to compete with any team in the NFC for sure. We just have to hope these are growing pains and the coaches surprise us.

That said, I've been off my game on getting my superstitions handled these past two weekends so...it absolutely could all be my fault. I'll do better this weekend.

I think we all know the players are immensely talented, it's the coaching and leadership we have no faith in at this point until they prove otherwise. I need to see it to believe it. Hope you are correct!

I'm not seeing the "Good Team". Seriously, we do have good players but I haven't seen a good team. I've seen a team that needs everything to go their way in order to eek out wins. Poor coaching, and poor execution is what I've observed. But that can change. Will it? Time will tell.

You missed at least one… 🤔

Well perfectly put. A good team on paper doesn't always equate to good performances. Respect is earned, not given.

Dammit KenKen, tighten up man!

I think we have a strong nucleus of young players. Olave, Shaheed, JJ, Penning on offense. Miller looks promising. If Ruiz and McCoy can come back around that’s s pretty good foundation. On defense Granderson, Breese, Saunders, Warner, Taylor, Adebo, and Howden are good pieces. The cupboard isn’t bare.

That’s why even if this season does implode I’m not in the “blow it all up and tank” group. Just be methodical and continue to build on what we have.

I see a group of players that doesn't seem to know what is expected of them. No one seems to be on the same page on offense, and the defense can only cover for the inept offense for so long in a game. Unless an opponent hands over the game with self inflicted wounds like penalties & turnovers, there's very little chance that our offense will outscore the opponent.

What bothers me the most is that Carr looks very confused at the QB position. Maybe all the pressure by the defenses has gotten him rattled beyond what he can overcome. For example, when he makes a decision to throw a pass, he is either very late or far off the mark of giving his receiver a legitimate chance at the catch.

When I saw Carr in that QB Challenge competition, he was the only QB who was dead on with every pass he threw, and he was lightning fast with his decisions. I immediately started wishing that the Saints would make a play for him. But he has looked more like a 7th round rookie than a 4-time Pro Bowl pick. Maybe the schemes our staff is asking him to perform is going against his grain and/or talents. It's like he's trying to recall during the play what the coaches are asking him to do. Maybe he's just better at impromptu football. He sure isn't performing like he has a grasp of the playbook or our general offensive philosophies.

I can't be positive until I see a reason to be positive. Nothing my eyes and ears have witnessed are giving me that to this point. I am not the type fan to just pretend nothing is wrong when it is very wrong. I certainly hope this changes before the end of the season but I for one am not going to get my hopes up just to have them crushed again. I think it was Buddy D that coined the phrase "good ship lolly pop" to describe the acceptance of the status quo polished up like a shinny turd for those that hope for positive things to happen. Some folks need to come to reality.
