We have a great roster. QB is still a question mark but Carr is good enough to manage games. But none of this is getting better with the worst offensive play caller in the league. He’s not going to wake up and get better. It’s actually gotten worse even though we have better personnel.

No, this team is not better than the 2018-2020 Saints. But you are correct the season is far from over. 2-2 is not an insurmountable hole.

accurate on both points. Reading that this team is better than 18-20 teams made me laugh, but plenty of time to try and correct course this season. I still think we can get to 10-7 and a playoff game.

We have a lot of talented players, on paper we are a 12-13 win team. But horrible offense play calling = tired and disillusioned defense = 5 wins.

there is not a single positive thread on here , this is the best team we have had since… heck I’d even say better than Brees last three years when he couldn’t throw the ball >20 yards, things will come together. Yes Carmichael is not great but he is average and will improve. We have a legit shot at playoffs in our division and if we get hot at right time anything could happen with depth on our team. We are DEEP except LB and maybe Oline. Sit back and enjoy the next two games which will boost team confidence and get us back on track

Not one person here thinks the players are the problem (except Peat...and we will even work with him).

I think a lot of people are pointing at Dennis Allen, Pete Carmichael and Derek Carr as the primary culprits and rightfully so. Dennis Allen is a great coach but a sub par leader. Pete Carmichael may be a great offensive mind but does not have the skill or art to call a game as far as the play calling duties. I think Carr is a great leader, class act and passionate but very pedestrian QB and he has a large enough sample size to show that. I think the bigger issue with our offense is quite simple. All the years with Payton and Brees our offense was all predicated on being able to run the football. I agree it’s hard to do that without a push on the OL but I felt Sunday against the Bucs we came out throwing non stop without really the attempt to get the ground game going. Without even the threat of a running game teams will pin their ears back and WRs will get little separation. Just attempt to run the ball and will open it up for bigger plays down the field. I still have faith. It’s not too late.

I think we're a team of great potential but I'm not sure if we'll see that potential. Can't underestimate just how much drew elevated the play of those around him. Not sure even he could elevate these guys to overcome the shortcomings we have right now. You can have all the ingredients for a perfect cake but if those ingredients aren't used correctly you have nothing.

Sure Denny is going to turn it all around any day . Fairy tales don't happen in the NFL . Past performance by Allen says we are in for a slide then win some meaningless games late in the season. Mickey will make them film Denny acting tough with the "that was big boy NFL football " pitch again.

Players are great but the offensive coaching is horrible. This is a team that will catch a few opponents by surprise but overall is looking like an 8-8 team at best.
