The NFL threw us to the wolves for the September 2001 Giants game, and we didn't complain.

Well, maybe a little.

But not like the Falcons in 2006. I recall the buildup for that game and the hype was quite contrary. The Saints had won two games based on sympathy and smoke-and-mirrors, and would get their comeuppance at the hands of the almighty Vick, White, Dunn, Brooking, and that punk CB whose name I try to forget. The 2 Live Stews were taunting us all week and gave us no chance. So they deserve what they got.

If I remember right, the MNF crew was repeatedly making excuses for the Falcons, particularly regarding the turf as slowing down the Falcons because it wasn't "matted down" - as if it was special turf which only affected the Falcons

ESPN has always been high on the falcons so I don't know what this negative light business is. I guess all fans bases have their "no respect" people.

falcon people want to move on and act like 28-3 never happened. They get to feeling some type of way when it's brought up. Thank god it's brought up frequently.

They complain that espn always shows them in a "bad light. What reference point are they referring to? I mean what could they show that doesnt?

They already showed it, the game when they beat the Vikings to go to the Super Bowl. They just don't have many instances of looking good.

The Matt Ryan Era is the best era of Falcons football and it’s completely overshadowed by the Payton/Brees Era Saints.
