He has a proven track record of success as a secondary coach, which will be his emphasis here. There are legitimate areas of concern with Allen but this is a good hire.

Dennis Allen is the defensive coordinator and one of the best. This guy is an experienced, competent defensive football coach. I don’t get all the hate. We’re lucky to get anyone decent without being able to offer playcalling privledges.

We just hired a "yes man" for what has been a defense ranked in the top-10 for years.

Stop complaining about defensive hires, because DA has proven himself on that side of the ball.

The offense is the only thing we should be worried about at this point.

They used the same plan last season for HC interviews. Find who you want and work back to the interviews to justify.

Eh he's been good when focusing on the secondary which is what he will do here. It'll still be Allen's defense just like last year expect now he'll have someone he trusts instead of Richard. It probably helps more than anything.
