We will pick a Secondary player! (1 Viewer)

Nobody remembers Reggie Jones, Jimmie Spencer, Toi Cook, Vencie Glenn, Milton Mack, etc...

Everybody remembers Frank Warren,JIm Wilks, Rickey Jackson, Sam Mills, Vaughn Johnson, and Pat Swilling...

A good pass rush would make even our pedestrian secondary better...

Here's how to figure out whom we draft. Holes are filled in free-agency. Our secondary definitely has holes, so we should be active there. Hopefully Ed Reed, and maybe a corner to challenge our starters. But, history shows that teams moving to a 3-4 invest high draft picks in the front-seven, especially in the first year or two of the transition. In a 3-4 you need a great NT and good all-round MLBs. Lofton fits well but that's it in the middle; otherwise it is a matter of converting 4-3 players and that is not a long-term fix. We need a long-term investment in the middle of our 3-4 ("that's what Belichick would do") so look for us drafting a NT or MLB in the first two picks and maybe both. Since there are no dominant NTs projected for the mid-first round, we can prepare ourselves for invisible-girlfriend jokes.

if u think te'o is the answer to our problems ur sadly mistaken. watch his alabama game.he wasn't there. whats he going to do in the nfl where the players are bigger faster, strongerthan alabamas?

There's a kid out of Richmond at SS that is BIG. Cooper Taylor is 6'5" 235lbs and runs somewhere around a 4.5 40. From what I've read he looked pretty good during the AllStar week. We could probaly get him in 5th or 6th rd, unless he shows out at the combine. Don't know much else about him, but sounds interesting.

Sounds like Taylor Mays without the high draft choice needed to obtain him.

It would be something to consider if he's still hanging in there. Should do good against the run and they say his cover and reaction skills looked good.
