Leodis McKelvin left the game late in the first half with an ankle injury and did not return. His condition will be updated today but he did take part in some of today's practice.

Shawn Nelson left the game against Tampa Bay with a shoulder injury. He did not return but said afterwards he's ok and should play on Sunday. He did take part in at least some of today's practice.

Paul Posluszny broke his forearm against New England. He underwent successful surgery to repair the break in one place and has started working out already. It is the same arm he broke two years ago but it is not considered as serious since only one bone broke. Dick Jauron hopes to get him back by midseason so he is likely to miss around six weeks.

Derek Fine practiced fully on Friday and played this week. He had been out over three weeks with a hamstring injury.

Drayton Florence practiced fully on Friday but was inactive on Sunday against the Bucs.

James Hardy has been placed on Reserved/PUP and will miss at least the first six weeks of the season. He underwent successful surgery on January 12th. It is a six to nine month rehabilitation process. He missed his goal of returning in time for the preseason finale as he has not been cleared to practice yet. He's doing rehab drills on the side.

Derek Schouman has been placed on injured reserve with a knee injury. He was carted off the field after injuring his knee in the second half against Tampa Bay.

Brad Butler suffered a season ending knee injury and has been placed on injured reserve. He will have surgery soon. No other information was immediately available.

Marcus Smith has cleared waivers and has moved from the waived/injured list to injured reserve with a sprained knee.

Lydell Sargeant has been placed on injured reserve. He suffered a torn ACL and had surgery at the end of August. He was placed on the waived/injured list. He then cleared waivers and his rights reverted back to the Bills.

Could be worse.

But Im actually surprised the FO & SP even let that info leak out. If he isnt going to be on an injury reprt, that info should not be made public, IMO.

Man, with the way SP has been handling injury reporting this season, "sore shoulder" could be shorthand for hip replacement surgery. The wheelchair? He was just jumping over a fence....

Per TP:

Six players did not participate in Wednesday’s practice: tailback Mike Bell (knee), receiver Lance Moore (hamstring), defensive end Bobby McCray (hamstring), defensive tackle Kendrick Clancy (knee), offensive tackle Jammal Brown (hip) and tight end Darnell Dinkins (foot).

Two players were limited in Wednesday’s practice – defensive end Charles Grant (hamstring) and linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbar (hamstring).

Five players practiced fully – Brees, offensive tackle Jermon Bushrod (knee), tight end Jeremy Shockey (ankle), tailback Pierre Thomas (knee) and safety Roman Harper (hamstring).

Payton wouldn’t elaborate on whether or not Thomas appears healthy enough to fill in for Bell as the lead rusher in Sunday’s game.

I think because of what just happened with the Brett Farve/Jets injury drama, Coach is being more open than usual.

Read that Bills injury report for Puzslonski

"broke his arm last week against New England. He's working out already"

Beast!

OK whats up with the defensive players and hammys?

Actually, although I'm hoping it's nothing serious, I am glad that they let the information leak about Brees' shoulder. With any luck, the Bills will enter the game overconfident and we will run them into the field.

Won't happen... but it will be interesting to see how they defend us. The Eagles, who are normally VERY aggressive on defense hardly ever blitzed. I think 6 or 7 times all game.

Will Buffalo be more aggressive? It should be noted that Drew completed all passes against Philly's blitzes (they did geta couple sacks)... so maybe that's why they chose to dial back.
