Alright, this was liked last time so I'm going to go ahead and do this again.

Pete Morelli is our ref this week.

Away Games: Record: 3-4
As a counter point I didn't include the last time, the Giants are 12-5 with him when they're away, and 2-1 when they're at home.
He has a lot more games called for us, including one game every fan should notice (Jan 24, 2010) but on Away games, we average 8 Penalties, with the opposing team receiving an average of 5 penalties per game.

His Home team win% average is 3% lower than league average, since he's been reffing.

His crew is:
R 135 Pete Morelli 22 St. Mary’s retired high school principal†
U 54 Steve Woods 2 McAulay Wabash financial advisor
DJ 22 Steve Stelljes 17 * Friends business planning manager
LJ 45 Jeff Seeman 17 Parry Minnesota brokerage sales
FJ 36 Anthony Jeffries 1 NA Alabama-Birmingham medical sales
SJ 41 Boris Cheek 23 * Morgan State director of operations and management†
BJ 61 Keith Ferguson 19 Hussey San Jose State sales
  • Replay official: Brian Matoren
  • Replay assistant: Matt Sumstine
I'm a bit under the weather today, so let me know if there was any information you liked from the 1st one that you want to see here, I think I got most of it.

Awful. That is one flag happy crew. 4 RTP penalties last night, and they picked up another one. Morelli's crew becomes part of the game instead of refereeing the game. Morelli and Blakeman are the worst.

If you look at his Home Penalty percentage (42.86% this year) and his home win percentage (33% this year) it gives me a feeling that he's more objective and a little reasonable I would hope. The league average for Home Win % is 60%. I mean it's only three games in but still.

One positive is I think he was the ref for when we won NFC Champ. Vs Vikings.

Yeah, I didn't mean he was biased. His crew just constantly seems to have 2 handfuls of yellow. That game was interesting last night, but the flags were out of control. Morelli got more air time than the football last night.

Looking at the stats, he threw less flags on average before his crew was completely changed in 2016 (There's news about how it was disbanded due to blatant favoritism and missed calls.) The last two years he's thrown more flags on average, so yes, get ready for a flag fest. Most likely a few RTP's.

It looks like the 5 most called penalties are Offensive Holding, False Start, DPI, Illegal Block Above the Waist, and Defensive Holding.
The giants are the least penalized team, Tied for 10th on Opponent Penalties. (12/24)
We are the 15th most penalized team, sitting pretty in the middle, But tied for 3rd least amount of opponent penalties. (23/16)
