You know, most people (including myself) always thought that the wetland erosion was bad, but not all that extreme. Friday, I was able to go up in our helicopter and took a photo from Galliano to New Orleans. It amazes me what little we have from the water coming in. Sorry for the foggy shot.

It progressively got worse. Why oh why did I buy a house down here :covri: :ezbill:
 
The visuals and the statistics are staggering. It makes you ill to really think about it too much.

Thanks for the pic though.
 
Yeah, it's bad. I took these pics a couple of years ago and there really isn't much on the outside of those levees.

I will up load some tomorrow of the cypress logging scars at Manchac. Still there after all these years.
