Well....Detroit, many years ago, took 3 receivers in the first round 3 years in a roll. Didn't work out well for them. Taken two is fine, but three?

Yes, three in a row were busts*. They took Ernie Sims next year, then they had the #2 overall pick the following year. So four receivers in five years. The fourth receiver was Calvin Johnson.

Edit: Actually I'm not sure if I would consider Roy Williams a bust. Not quite what you would want out of a first round pick, but he did put up a 1300 yard season - but that was the only time he eclipsed 1000 yards. He was more of a #2 receiver.
