-'throughline' (looks at current events from an historical context)
-99% invisible
-school colors (education & race)
and 2 MUSTS
-Anthropocene reviewed (things from out current epoch rated on a 5 pt scale - well worth it)
-Three Right Turns (guy who used to be a religious right winger deconstructs his past political process and tries to explain his current beliefs - it is NOT a bashing show. he makes every effort to respect all positions and talks to people who are also trying reasoned approaches - like the guys from the 'Moving Forward' pod)

Just found another- great if you have kids, but cool even if not

It tells a lot of Puerto Rican history (and some Spanglish) through a time travel trope
2 high school twins are our adventurers
Well produced with good voice talent

I have been listening to a left-wing self-proclaimed socialist podcast, Useful Idiots with Matt Taibbi and Katie Halper. They have some great anti-war takes though their economics gets an F.
