Yeah I always figured most of the bullets I've found were shot during New Years and 4th of July. Would've loved to have been on the Superdome roof to find all those bullets. My collection would be massive!!One of my professors was talking about the Superdome roof, and how it was springing a bunch of leaks and no one knew why. Turns out there were hundreds of bullet holes in the roof - most of it as you probably know is from people shooting into the air on New Years.
I will be dogged... I have been thinking about making this very thread...
I collect WWII items and I have been thinking about showing this collection here on SR.com. I have one bedroom here that is an actual little museum...
Would anyone like to actually like see this collection?
Model schooners.
Also my mother's brother, Toxie Anderson, died on Jan 3, 1944 when his ship the USS Turner, a Gleaves class destroyer sank off NY harbor. It suffered a series of internal explosions taking down 123 enlisted men and 15 officers.I love anything to do with WWII in the Pacific as my dad was in the Army and fought the Japanese there during the war. He loved General Douglas MacArthur and kept a picture of him on the wall of his bedroom till the day he died, I now have that picture.
