This season is going to be exciting, and the Saints are geared for improvement over last year. What are you looking forward to seeing most (besides the Lombardi)? Talking player or team improvement?

For me, last year we had a lot of penalties (we were 2nd to last in yards given up due to penalties at 350 yards). I am looking forward to us cleaning that up, and either getting our defense off the field or keeping our offense on it. I believe if we can improve in this part of our game we can put some more distance between us and our opponents.

Good post. I look forward to seeing the Saints evolve as the season progresses. I just hope Payton doesn't hold back his playback in the first game. I've noticed he likes to do that. If anything he should open it in the first game. Give future opponents more tape that they have to study. Hopefully they get so focused on those trick plays they lose focus on the on the routine play calls

I'm hoping for a dominant offense. If Jared Cook picks up where he left off and Sanders is the other weapon we've been needing, then look out. Thomas is a one-man wrecking crew by himself, but these other two, playing at the top of their game, could make us absolutely dominant. Also hoping for some big plays by Harris and Taysom. Of course, I want a balanced attack, with healthy doses of Kamara and Murray. Then there's Montgomery. There will be no shortage of options.

For the defense, I also hope we can take that next step. I want to see the same stingy run defense. I hope Davenport is well enough and motivated enough to silence all our worries about the DE position. I want to see improved secondary play. Hopefully Malcolm Jenkins fits in nicely, there is great communication between all the DBs, and Latt and J.J. play their best game. More turnovers would be nice. We have been incredible in the 2nd half of games, but I'd like us to start faster and play better during the first half. That would catapult us into a new level.

And most important of all, I hope the injuries and bad officiating are limited. Can't wait til Sunday!

I would like to see more of a balanced running game. Love DB but I don't see him able to throw 31 times a game and still be productive like he used to. He'll have those games where he'll light up the stat board but...…………….we need to run more.

Hoping Sanders provides some much needed help in the WR department. On defense, we need Davenport to really shine. We know Jordan will bring it. Also, some consistency from DBs would be great.

I remember the days when our stat sheet at the end of the game had 10+ receivers catching multiple passes.
Drew spreading the ball around like crazy. I'm sure that MT is going to still hog most of the targets, but I want to
see Drew hitting guys all over the place, making defenses defend the entire field. And he should have no problem
doing this with the addition of Sanders and the hopeful/expected improvement of several others.

MT, AK, Cook
Sanders, Smith, Harris
Montgomery, Trautman, Calloway
Hill, Murray, Taysom
Burton, J. Hill.

That's 15 possible receivers on any given play.
I just want to see 10 to 12 of them involved in the passing game this season.
Seems we were at our best when we bombarded opponents with receiving threats.

Saints throw a long ball in the NFC Championship game, As the bucs are winning by 5... Emmanuel Sanders catches the TD as time expires!!!! Flag on the play, a random Stadium worker stepped on Tom Brady's big toe, play doesnt count time expires.

I hope to see them win it all because this is our last shot with this insanely talented group. It's hard to believe that we've had all these guys on the same team. Everywhere you look we have a player who is in the top 5 at his position.

Being able to close out teams, late in ball games ... specifically with the Saints offense doing what old school teams do.

Ground and pound, churn up clock.

Let the other teams throw it 45 times a game en route to an L.

Yep. I had this thought the other day. How many players do we have that are top 5 at their position, and among the rest, top 10? It would be interesting to know. I know we have an insane amount of talent.

Brees, Kamara, Jordan, Thomas, Ram, Lattimore, Davis, Cook, Lutz, Morestead, Harris, Armstead, McCoy.
Good gravy, who did I leave off? Okay, count me in as very excited about this season after all.

We could be looking at a top 10 player at these positions:

QB
RB
WR
TE
Center or Guard
Tackle x2

DE
LB
CB
Safety

Kicker
Punter
Return Specialist

No doubt. And I think these are all arguably top 5 at their position.

Undefeated with a Superbowl Victory.
I don’t even need an undefeated season, just want a championship. However, it would be poetic justice to see us go undefeated, winning a SB, in dominating fashion-wire to wire. For all of the snake bitten luck, misfortunes, and craptastic officiating throughout our lifetime.....it would supreme to be considered the greatest team ever that won it all.
