A fun little thread I did a couple of times last season. What will you be cooking/eating tonight? I'm going simple tonight since it is preseason. Stuffed BBQ hamburgers.

Pizza, not going to go all out until the season starts. Will probably do gumbo for the first regular season game.

I may start out with some carrots and hummus, leading up to a decadent quinoa salad topped with beets and pine nuts. I don't know, I might go real crazy and throw some toasted pecans in there!

This is all after my shake weight workout of course

Boudin cooked over lump charcoal + apple wood chips.

Gulden's spicy hot mustard + sauteed onions on french.

Barq's in the bottle.

Cooking Gumbo tonight!! Fresh cut vegetables;

Okra
Celery
Red Bell Pepper
Sweet Onion
Sweet corn
Chicken in the crock pot right now, seasoned very well
Zatarans Gumbo mix(yeah I'm lazy don't beat me up)
And last but not least a Conecuh sausage I have come to love.

Cant wait, I try to cook Gumbo about every few months, then hurt myself only to recover.

Go Saints!!!

Away games usually require chicken wings... Tonight is Wing Stop!
But Bubba is ready, he just wants beer.

Up here unless you go to the cajun meet market (has some awesome sausage/boudin), the only other thing you can find is the conecuh (Mississippi) sausage. The thin link ones are actually pretty awesome on the grill!

There's a great little cajun restaurant up here in Winchester, VA that has a standing Thursday night special of Shrimp & Grits, with andouille. Will be picking up an order to go on the way home!
