What is your pet peeve? (1 Viewer)

What are some little things that just bug the sheet out of you? For me, it is people crunching or eating loudly. Currently, there's a guy across from me at work eating God knows what and it is really driving me crazy. i don't know how much longer I can stand this without saying something lol.

So what are some of your pet peeves?
It might be Misophonia. I have it bad. For me, it's sounds like repetitive coughing, sniffling or throat-clearing. I get to a point where I want to smash that person's face in. Cave in their sinuses to stop the sound. It's more than a pet peeve. It's a syndrome or something. A 'condition'.

People with annoying dogs. Usually small or medium dogs but it can be others as well.

For example, take the dog out for a walk, encounter some dumb arse with their chihuahua mix who is lunging, growling & barking at my well behaved service dog in training. They do nothing but wait until it's almost too late to pull back on the leash (usually a retractable leash that they can't control the dog with). Or they sit there and repeatedly tell the dog to stop (it doesn't) and keep doing this despite the fact that the dog is not going to listen to reason.

Or for example on Monday, I took the dog out to walk down by the harbor. In this grassy area for sitting, a small group of people were sitting on a blanket with their medium size dog who literally was sitting there barking non-stop at every. single. person. and dog. passing. by. It was so forking obnoxious. They did absolutely nothing to intervene and make the dog knock it off.

It's not cute that you haven't properly socialized and/or trained your dog not to act a fool in public. If you haven't done so, just keep your dog at home. It's not funny nor cute and really obnoxious and you are the worst for insisting on taking your idiot dog out in public acting like this.

+1 on loud eaters.

As far as the cyclist thing goes, I don't understand why some of them want to bike down a narrow busy road with no shoulders when there is no way its the only route they could take. I think they are just looking to be martyrs for the biking cause at that point.

People who block an entire parking aisle to wait for a spot that is 20 yards closer than spots that are already open. Just park and walk your fat arse the extra few feet. It's good for you.

Wal Mart (everything about it)

The profanity filter here. Just asterisk it out, don't make cool cuss words wimpy by changing them to silly alternatives. And in that same vein, dubbed movies. Just bleep it out.

One of my pet peeves (and I have many) besides loud eaters, is cyclists that ignore traffic laws by running red lights and not obeying stop signs. I mean, I'm happy to give a cyclist as much space as possible when I pass them, but it annoys me to no end that they will then run a red light or stop sign. I'm happy to look out for cyclists and be aware that they are there. But, don't put yourself in extra danger of getting run over or running out in front of my by ignoring the traffic laws.

When I was riding a bike, if there were no cars coming I'm not stopping at a stop sign or red light especially when I'm biking in 1000 degree weather. If cars are coming then yeah I'm not crazy, I'll stop.

I hate dialogue in movies/shows where characters simultaneously stuff there mouths with food and have overly enthusiastic conversations at the table. I hate it on TV, I hate it even more in life. Swallow your forking food, then talk. I can wait to hear whatever is going to be said. I HATE IT

People that come to websites such as (but not limited to) this one, asking for advice (should I buy this or that?, what should I do about this? , should I stay or should I go?, etc) and dozens of members chime in with recommendations, most of which are useful. But then the person who asked the question never comes back to tell us what decision they made and why? I'm always curious what the outcome was and what factors led to the decision.

Sorry about that, I'm just too lazy, or I forget to come back, I can't remember which.

Drivers that think they are so much more important than cyclists or pedestrians that drive too fast in populated areas and aren't patient while people cross the street or stop in the middle of crosswalks.
Im starting to find that cyclists are getting an attitude about being a cyclist on city streets. If you want the respect, don't weave in and out of traffic, don't pass up slow moving traffic and get mad if you are to close to them. Stay with the traffic flow, and there won't be any problems.

The over-use or incorrect use of the prefix "pre".

People saying the word super in front every adjective. Drives me nuts.

Have a super nice day everyone 😊

I had a boss who did this all day, every day.
