A little morbid. But something I've never really asked or thought about, but suppose one went into space without a suit, what would kill you first, the lack of air, extreme temps, something else? And how long would someone last before death? I assume it's not instant, but I'd think it happens fairly quickly. I mean, we can hold our breath underwater for several minutes. I would assume less than a minute in space.

See? Do you see NFL? This is what happens when you put out this atrocious product on Thursday nights. Dave, don’t look into the light!!!

There’s a scene in later part of The Expanse that has a moment like this
Can’t remember the exact biology (and there wasn’t consensus)
But most agreed you’d last about a minute

Depends on your midi-clorian count.

As bad as humans are making it to live here, I'll still take it over moving into outer space.

Right, the old Scottish space sailor had to walk the plank.

What literally kills you ("first") is gas bubbles forming in your blood that stop blood flow. This causes you to pass out in 15 seconds and this also causes you to die in about a minute.

That too
I was thinking Naomi’s spacewalk survival

Having gas is one thing. Dying from it is a different story.
