This Monday Night will be the final regular season game in the mighty Dome. The Saints take on the Indianapolis Colts. After a strong start to the season Indy has lost 5 of 6 games. During this skid their offense only averaged around 20 points a game. Still think they want to finish season strong, but injuries to Colts players and having to deal with Drew Brees will catch up to them in the second half. Finally, Brees has a chance to break Peyton's all-time T.D record. He'll need three passes to get the record. If any Q.B can do it, it's Drew.

The second Opponent on the Docket is the Tennessee Titans. At the beginning of the year this seemed to be an easy game. No longer the case, this team is white hot offensively. They field an excellent passing and run attack. As usual they employ a strong defense. Thier past 6 games this team scores around 31 a game to go with a 5-1 record. It's going to take an all phases effort by the Saints to win this. I think this game will come down to another game winning drive by Drew.

The final game of the year might hold the most importance for N.O. If The Saints win these previous two contest then they are playing to try to get the number2 seed. Carolina might seem down and out after the firing of their coach but playing spoiler will lift their spirits for the Holiday season. A focused Saints team should prevent the upset.

If the Saints go 3-0 the rest of the way they should get the number 2 seed. This will mean everything to the Saints. They will have a week of rest to get healthy before taking on the quantlet

Coach payton will make sure he gets 3 td passes
Titans are for real. They remind me of a Steeler type team. Had them as a tough out from the get go .
Carolina will try everything in their power to beat us. Trick plays, going for it on 4th downs, and Carolina pride. This will be their superbowl.

They could easily get the #1 seed if that were to happen. GB still has to play Minnesota and the 49ers still have to play the Seahawks and a surging Rams team.

Excellent Jason.Thx so much.

Jason - if we run the table and the 49ers lose, do we auto get the #1 or are their other factors like GB/The Hawks. Thanks so much!!!

There are other factors. The key is to finish ahead of Green Bay so we need them to drop one and the other key is having Seattle win the NFC West pushing the 49ers to the wildcard. So I guess to put it simply: Saints need to win out, Green Bay has to lose 1 and Seattle needs to win out for the Saints to be number 1 seed.

That is correct. If the Saints win out... the Vikings beat the Pack at Minnesota in Week 16 (which I think will happen), and the Seahawks beat the Niners in Seattle in Week 17 (don't know how likely that is)... the Saints are the #1 seed.
