Sports' Illustrated's Don Banks compared the Saints to an arena football team - in a good way - as he vaulted them up to No. 5 in his latest power rankings. Banks has been on the Saints' bandwagon for years now, but apparently he's not afraid to risk getting burned again.
FOX Sports' Jay Glazer, who has a good relationship with Saints Coach Sean Payton, offered a revealing nugget in his mailbag. He said Payton insisted that his son Connor should add tailback Mike Bell to his fantasy football roster heading into the season. ... Guess Bell isn't going away anytime soon - not that we couldn't figure that out for ourselves at this point.
WDSU's Fletcher Mackel wonders once again why the Saints won't let Reggie Bush return kickoffs. ... The answer to that question has always been injury risk. And Bush needs to clean up his fumbling problem, too.
