I think, jus like RB, we should do BOTH: sign a vet in FA, then “double dip” for another one in the draft.I really hope we sign a solid starting DT. Our picks are too late to bet on a late first round DT contributing this year.
It’s a pretty deep draft for RBs, so I think we could get a good one in da 3rd or maybe even the 4th rd. IF we can sign a big back in FA, I’d love to get a Tyjae Spears, who would b a perfect “change of pace” back for us.
At DT, sign a vet who can give us 25-30 “quality snaps” esp against the run! But IF he’s available at 29, I’m keeping my eye on Mazi Smith outta Michigan! He’s big: 6’3” 337 lbs, n strong: 34 reps. But he’s more than a “space eater”. He’s also quick enough to play either DT position. I think he’d b a good get for us! We’ll see.
